While 2021 was certainly not your average year for the world (then again, we started in 2020, so our organization has never experienced a true “normal” year) – we were still fortunate enough to partner with so many individuals and organizations who share our common mission – to end suicide.
A Look Back at 2021
We hosted 3 Intervene Challenge courses – 1 in Killeen, TX as part of our “Turning the Tide on Suicide” event, and 2 in Savannah in partnership with Georgia Southern University.
We supported our friends and partners with Team Savannah for Veterans, Provisions4Patriots, Through Tragedy Comes Light, Chatham County Veterans Council, Nine Line Foundation, Savannah Harley-Davidson, StrykeTeam, and more, through sponsorships, joint initiatives, and collaborative events.
We hosted our 1st Annual Warriors Ball, in celebration of our 1 year anniversary of incorporation, at the beautiful historic American Legion in downtown Savannah, raising over $5,000!
We partnered with Veteran Carriers for our 2nd Annual Charity Car Show, and raised over $4,000!
We established new partnerships with veteran owned Tosa Coffee Company, hosting monthly Coffee & Camaraderie events, as well as with veteran owned Debellation Brewing Company, who hosted a Grains for Good night benefitting Fight the War Within. These two organizations then collaborated on a special coffee stout (available at Debellation Brewing on draft now!) – the proceeds of which benefit our organization and mission.
We wrapped up the year by sponsoring our annual Thanksgiving and Holiday dinners, catered by our friends at The Dive Savannah, at the American Legion Post 184 in Thunderbolt, Georgia. We were honored to provide free meals, and a sense of fellowship, to our community, during what for some can be a joyous season, but for others, a time of hardship and loneliness.
Last but not least, we partnered with Planet Fitness in Statesboro to kick off our inaugural Wall of Heroes Dedication Board Initiative. We hosted 2 dedication ceremonies in December, honoring the lives of fallen servicemembers who lost their internal wars.
A Look Forward at 2022
While 2021 was a year to remember, we are already gearing up for an exciting and eventful 2022!
We are excited to be hosting our 1st Annual Race to Fight the War Within 5k/10k on April 23rd, at Howe2Run Running Store!
The race will take place at Howe2Run inside the Shoppes at Savannah off of 204 and I-95. We will have vendor booths set up showcasing great local organizations and businesses, food trucks, and great prizes and raffle items!

We will continue hosting our Coffee & Camaraderie events with our friends at Tosa Coffee Company – every third Saturday from 4:00-7:00 PM.
We will continue to schedule Intervene Challenge courses, and aim to host these on a quarterly basis. We will be sure to send out email updates as these are booked.
We will be hosting our 2nd Annual Warriors Ball on Friday, July 29 – be sure to mark your calendars!
