Farewell to Our Four-Legged Friend

He came into my life and heart in June 2008 and left me shattered and broken 05/09/2022. Today my heart is broken, My last “I love you” spoken.

I held you close to my chest, And whispered “You’re the best”.

My world is crashing down, I listen for your bark but hear no sound.

You’re more than just a friend, You are my Service Dog to the very end.

With loving care I’ll hang your vest, To me you’ll always be the best.

I’ll carry you over the ridge, And gently lay you at Rainbow Bridge.

I’ll watch you run into the light, As I feel the darkness as if it were night.

You have touched so many lives, Please Lord help me survive.

Bruno held the honor of “Mascot” for the Fight The War Within Foundation. He wore his purple vest proudly, the color of Suicide awareness. As a chaplain he opened many doors that I would not have been able to. He wore his green IFOC vest that matched my shirt. His blue vest matched my Billy Graham RRT shirt, I wish we had been able to deploy but that wasn’t in God’s plan for us. It is hard to believe he is gone. I’ll miss and love you Bruno until my last breath.

RIP Bruno. You will be so greatly missed.
