Hello, warriors! So much has been going on around here, and we wanted to reach out and touch base!
First and foremost, this community is a strong one, and we can’t do what we do without you!
Over the last 2 weeks, we headed initiatives to gather items for 4 different families, who are all enduring difficult times. After posting these Amazon Wishlists on our social media platforms, almost every need was fulfilled! We can’t thank each of you enough for making an impact on those around us who are struggling!
Our 2nd Annual Race to Fight the War Within 5k/10k was a huge success! On Saturday, April 15th, over 140 runners came out to support our mission! The weather was GORGEOUS, and we saw so many amazing familiar faces, like out friends from Howe2Run, Endurance Racing, Team Red White and Blue, and Go Ruck! Thanks to the immense support of everyone who participated and our sponsors, we raised over $4,000! Thank you all so much for being here!
Are you local to Savannah, and are looking for something fun to do this weekend? Come on our to the Effingham Harold on Saturday, May 6th, from 3pm-5pm to help us paint worry stones! May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we want to make sure that anyone who is in a dark place is reminded that they matter! We teamed up with Miss Springfield Teen, Sydney Crawford, along with sponsors Lovett Hardware and Jack’s Animation House, to paint worry stones! We will be mailing these across the country to anyone that is struggling right now. All we need is a name and a mailing address! They will receive a custom stone, painted by a volunteer, along with Fight the War Within information.

For about the last year, we have been collaborating with some awesome like-minded local groups, with an initiative called Coffee and Camaraderie. This happens the 3rd Saturday of every month at Tosa Coffee Company in Richmond Hill, where we all come together to enjoy company, coffee, and snacks, all at no cost to participants. This week, we welcome a new partner, American Legion Post 27! Welcome to the family!
We’d love to meet you and chat! Our next Coffee and Camaraderie is on Saturday, May 20th. Children and families are welcome to attend!
